FRESNO STATE STUDENT HOUSING

Website Redesign

New website design mocked up on laptop

A redesign of Fresno State Student Housing’s website, formerly known as University Courtyard. The goal was to create a responsive, easy-to-use, and appealing website.

The original website was not responsive at all. And the CMS wasn’t very friendly to use either. So my goal was to make this website responsive and opt for a more common CMS (content management system) like WordPress.

It was important to make sure the Fresno State colors stood out with this new website whereas the old website had a washed-out pale blue color dominating the entire website.

With more new images added to the website and better organization, students can easily navigate through the pages for information and get a sense of what it’s like to live on campus.

Responsive Design

The original website was not responsive on mobile. The previous web designer decided to create a separate mobile version with a different CMS. This resulted in updating both sites every single time, which is inefficient.

I was happy to not only redesign the website, but made sure it was responsive. That eliminates the need for a separate mobile website.
