DOWNTOWN FRESNO

Website Redesign

New website design mocked up on computer

The client wanted to redesign their outdated website to make it more appealing to users and also better showcase all the wonderful amenities that downtown has to offer.

The Old Website

The old website lack vitality and didn’t truly represent the atmosphere of downtown Fresno. The lack of photos and overpowering web copy made the site unappealing.

There was a lot of potential to restructure and organize information to make it easier for users to view them, but create a better overall experience.

Branding

Downtown Fresno had ten branding colors, which I incorporated throughout the entire website design. This colorful palette helps bring a pop onto the pages and brings a sense of liveliness and rejuvenation.

The New Website

This was an opportunity to create not only eye-catching designs but to efficiently organize information in a way that’s useful.

Page Templates

Creating a website that can accommodate all the in’s and out’s of downtown Fresno can be daunting. Luckily, I was working with an experienced web development team, so designing the function of critical elements wasn’t so challenging.

My Thoughts

It was an honor to work on Downtown Fresno’s website redesign project. I see it as giving back to the community where I grew up in. I’m excited to see where Downtown Fresno is headed in the future.

This redesign went into effect in 2019. Currently, the website has been refreshed, but a lot of the features are still the same.
